Brunch dominguero - Sunday brunch

 

Si bien  por estas latitudes puede sonar como algo pretencioso, me encanta la idea de desayuno almuerzo para un domingo ( y, en definitiva, es mucho mas saludable llenar nuestro cuerpo de energía al inicio del día!)

Así que allá fuimos con mis cuñados Leo, Aurelie y el baby a Malvón. Cosas riquiiiisimas, en una antigua casa reciclada, mesas y sillas de diferentes estilos y un patio lleno de enredaderas y aromáticas.

 

Even it can appear a bit  pretentious in this latitud, the idea of having a brunch on sunday it´s great for me!. ( and defintly much healthier to get that energy for our body at the begining of the day!).

So  we went to "Malvón" with my bother and sister in law: Leo, Aurelie, and their baby.

 There you can find very yummy food. It´s a recycled antique house, with eclectic furniture and patio full of  creepers and fragrant herbs.

 El lugar tiene una variedad abrumadora de brunchs. Los precios son bastantes saladitos, pero si no te levantaste muy voráz y le agregas alguito mas, da para compartir y darse por almorzados.

A whole range of brunches are offered there. It´s quite expensive, but if you haven´t get up much hungry and you add some snack, they can be shared.

Proyecto Abriguemos a un niño - Let´s get a child warm project

 Y allí van!!! Una docena de cuadraditos tejidos para el proyecto al que llegué gracias a Moni!
Hacía tiempo que deía hacer esta entrada, pero aquí va!

Fiesta del reciclado primaveral - Recycling spring party

Tarde, tardisimo, pero aquí me  sumo (después de todo el equinoccio de Primavera es mañana, asi que visto desde ese punto de vista, estoy adelantada!  :-)  ).
 Natalia de Almitas Encantadas nos invitó a participar de su fiesta de reciclado! .
Yo justo tenía que jubilar mi cajón de cosas del jardín y la huerta, así que desde el finde pasado  venía trabajando sobre éste cajón que mi papá me armó seleccionando distintas maderas (una suerte de Frankenstein de diversas provincias) y le agregó unas soguitas lindas y super prácticas. Ahora que escribo ésto, recuerdo que de chica me había armado una cajoncito parecido que decía "Manualidades de Silvina", y ahí ponía mis papeles, pinturitas y no se cuanta cosa mas (como ven, no solo no se me pasó sino que se me agudizó!)

Almitas Encantadas , invited us to her recycling party.
I had just "retired" my garden box, and I´ve been working on a new one since last weeekend. My dad made this wwoden box with different woods (a sort of Frankenstein from different regions) and added this nice and practical ropes. Now I write this I remember that he made a wooden box similar to this for me whenI was a child that had "Silvina´s crafts" written on it. There I put my papers, colors and all that kind of stuff (as you see, I´m still like that and even worst!)

Que tengan una primavera llena de vibrantes colores!! (sobre todo una primavera interna, porque son las estaciones del alma lo que en verdad cuentan!)

Dicen que viajando se foratalece el corazón... - It´s said that travelling strengthen our heart s...

Después de haber atravesado un tiempo de dificultades... nada mejor que viajar para, como dice la canción fortalecer el cuore.  así que nos fuimos  La Aguada, a abrevar en sus frescura, como bicherío buscando el oasis, a sorber sociego, inspiración, a tragarnos sol a borbotones

a llenarnos de principio esencial del agua... Fue allí donde me inicié en las artes del fieltro, así que fue volver a un territorio de genésis, iniciático.

After some really tough times... nothing better than, as the son says, travel to strenghthen the heart. So we went to La Aguada to have some rest like bugs in a oasis, to drink sun and inspiration, to fill up ourselves with the essence of water... . It was there where I walked  my first steps in the felting art, so it meant returning to a territory of "beginings".

Andrea, dueña de casa y artesana del papel, las letras y el fieltro, nos llevó a recorrer  con su calidéz y pasión, el maravilloso mundo de la caligrafía.  Así que ahí estabamos los dos, como monjes copistas, mientras afuera se oía una lluvia generosa y adentro el crepitar del fuego, jugando puerilmente con los colores y las formas, descubriendo y redescubriendo.

Andrea, owner of the place and paper, caligraphy and felt artisan, lead us, with her kidness and passion trough  the wonderful world of caligraphy. So there we were, like writing monks, while outside it was pouring raining and inside the fire was crackling, playing like children with colors and shapes, descoverin and re-descovering...

También visitamos el museo Rocsen. Un lugar maravilloso, no solo por la inmensa variedad de objetos: vestidos, sombreros, pinturas, momias, etc, sino también por el mensaje de paz y amor a la humanidad que trasciende la colección. Tuvimos la oportunidad de conversar con su creador, juan Santiago Bouchon: una persona fantástica!!. se convirtió en pacifista y humanista luego de haber combatido en la segunda Guerra Mundial. Es una de esas personas que no dice una sola palabra en vano, cada una tiene un sentido.

Como profe de Historia, he visitado unos cuantos museos interesantes, pera hay algo especial con éste, hay una vibración particular en el aire. Realmente sentí que se respiraba ese amor a los hombres y a  la paz que su fundador ha querido imprimirle.

Si alguna vez pasan por Traslasierra en Córdoba  TIENEN que visitarlo!!!!

We also visited Rocsen Museum. A wonderful place, not only because there era  a huge variety of objects: dresses, hats, pictures, mummies, etc, but also for its message of peace and love for humanity that goes beyond the collection. We had the opportunity to talk with its creator, Juan Santiago Bouchon. He is such a great person!!. He became a peacifist and humanist after fighting in II World War. Is one of those people that does´nt says any word in vane, every word has a sense.

As a History teacher I´ve visited many interesting museums,but there is  something special about it: there is  a particular vibration in the air . I really felt this love for humanity and peace that its creator ment to give to it.

If you happen to visit  Traslasierra in Córdoba, you MUST  visit it!!!!!
