  A veces mantener  ciertas distancias es saludable... (Dalí, la "bola blanca", del otro lado del vecino, acostumbrandose a Zumba, queriendo alejarse, aunque no del todo...)

¿Hay algo mas cálido que el fieltro en todos los sentidos?

Por ser un material noble con una técnica ancestral y tan visceral, lo elegí para materializar mis gestos de amor y ofrendarlo-me a personas que quiero muchísimo.

Poniéndome al día II: fieltro y costura - Catching up II: felt and sewing

 

 

Siguiendo con el desafío de mostrar los proyectos que me quedaron sin compartir éste año: 
Bolsos de fieltro:
El de las cintas violetas y fucsias en un seminario con Julia Rossi
El gris con lanas rojas fue con Celia Mikkelsen.


Following with the challenge of showing the projects that reamained to share this year:
Felt bags: the one with violet and fuchsia ribbons was made at a Julia Rossi workshop.

The grey one with red wool awas made with Celia Mikkelsen.

 

 

 

 Éste último lo hice especialente para mi ahijada de confirmación Marisol.También cpn Celia.

 

I made the last one specially to give to my goddaughter Marisol. Also with Celia

Si hay dos cosas que hay que tener en la vida son: una bandeja con patitas y una bata!. Así que me hice una. Amo llegar los viernes del cole y, si no me tengo que ir para otro lado: pegarme una ducha visualizando cómo el agua se lleva el cansancia y, si los hubos, los contratiempos, me encremo, a veces me pongo algún perfumito, medito, y, por lo general, al terminar la meditación, caigo anesteciada aún con los albañiles martillando arriba! lo juro!.

There are two things to have in life: a bed tray and a towel housecoat!. So I made myself one. I looove to get home on fridays from shool and I if I din´t have to go anywhere, I get shower visualizing how water takes away tiredness and, if there were, problems too. then i put some body cream and perfume, I do some meditation and, most of the times, after meditating, I fall completly asleep even tha masons are hammering over my head! I swear!

El vestido de las flores es realmente muy fácil de hacer. La tela ya viene con el elástico fruncido en la parte superior. Sólo cosí los lados y le puse tiritas de puntilla


The flower dress is really easy to make because I bought a top puckered elastic fabric. I just sew the sides and added embroidery shoulder ties.






Hice el vestido lavanda  (si, se ve que me gusta ese color) con un retaxo que compré en Once, re barato. La parte de ariba es una musculosa que no me convencía mucho como me quedaba,así que la corté y la cosí a la falda.
El lazo está hecho de la misma tela y es muy favorecedor.

I made the lavender one (yes, I like that color) with a piece of fabric bought in Once(a neighborhood were lots of crafts supplies can be bought) The top is a t-shirt that didn´t like very much how it fit me, so I cut it off and sew to the skirt.
The lace is made with the same fabric and  is very favouring.

Ahora les comparto para celebrar algo que terminé hace poquito (lease ayer a la noche). un pullover que combina fieltro y lana natural (el vellón fue de la última tanda de teñidos) . Ya probé antes esta combinación y me encantó jugar con los dos materiales!

Otoñales flores de fieltro - Autumn felt flowers

La mayoría de las flores se han ido, sólo por un rato... . El tiempo necesario para descansar, para recobrar nueva energía, para que las extrañemos un poco, así las valoramos más cuando vuelvan...
Mientras, hago algunas compañeras de fieltro para las últimas valientes...

Primero: Tiempo de teñido:


Most of the flowers have gone away, just for a while... . The necessary time for resting, for keeping new energy, for making us to miss them a bit, so we can appreciate them more when they are back...
Meanwhile, I make some felt partners for the last brave ones...

First: Dyeing time:

 Mezclando pigmentos, jugando con las proporciones... descubriendo luego que resultaba de la misteriosa mezcla... (la hoja parece que quizo jugar también)

Mixing pigments, playing with proportions... finding out what I got from the misterious mixture...
(the leaf seems to want to play too)

Esas hojas doradas ya no están...

Those goldean leaves are not here anymore...

"Campanitas", es al menos el nombre popular de estas flores... . Son las que veo desde la ventan del comedor de mi casa.

"Bells", is, at least, the popular name of these flowers.... I see them from my dinnin´g room´s window.

(update: thanks to Els, now I know the english name for those flowers is Morning Gories!!. Thank you Els!!!)

"Jazmín del cielo": una de mis flores favoritas. Fue el color que mas me costó lograr.

"Jasmine from heaven": one of mi favourite´s. It was the color I found hardest to get.

Me encaaaanta el color de ésta. No se su nombre. Pero es la "hijita" de una planta que está en uno de los colegios en los que enseño. Me la dió Betty que una portera copadisima que me da gajos y las tazas rotas del cole para un futuro mosaico.  Me la traje a casa casi una año antes de casarme. Cuando me mudé la transplanté y ahí está: increíble.

I looove this color. I don´t know her name. But it is the "little daughter" of a plant that grows in one of the schools where I teach. Betty gave it to me, she is a really cool housemaid that gives me outbreaks and the borken cups of the school (I´m gathering them for a future mosaic. I took it home almost one year before I got married. When I moved to my present home, I planted it. And here it is: amazing!!

Buen feriado para los que están en Argentina mañana!!
 (Y para los que están en otro lado, hagan un "feriado interior", después de todo, es el ánimo del ánima lo que cuenta!!)
