Arte intruso - Intrusive art

I always admire those houses with cute gardens, nice fronts... don´t they  make you smile?.
On my way to one of the schools where  I teach, there is a house that has a very simple but also very beautiful graden. It is neat, full of plants. It reminds me my great-grandparents house. In this time of the year, some pretty red flowers blossom, announcing Christmas and holiday time... I feel so glad when I see them! I wait for them every year!
Further the joy they provide to its owner, I feel that it is sharing beauty with everyone else.
A bit of this idea inspired me to paint the unusual surface of the door of the gas cabin with a phrase that salutes everyone... and this is the way it looks...

( Namaste: my soul recognizes your soul  )

With the same inspiration and haven´t could figure it out how to hide this eolian instead of placing it in the front of the house next to this window I love  (we are in another building face of the house, I´ll soon show you more) we agreed with Mar: "O.K, if it has to be seen, then it will"
And this is the result...

May "art" (or whatever) get in in unexpected places!!!

Cucub

We found him badly injured some weeks ago just outside home. we kept him in the garden an gave  some food and water.
He was so hurt that I thought he wouldn´t go trough the night. But, little by little, he made it!. Just a few days ago he started to bark .(I guess he was shocked by the accident).
After Begi passed away, I didn´t feel like getting another dog again. I like let them just "arrive".
Even the idea wasn´t adopting a grown animal (and he is not exactly the "beauty contest" kind...), the day he hardly shaked his tail to me: it was done! he is part of the family!. And, after all, he has just "arrived".

We named him as a character from the  Saga de los confines by Liliana Bodoc : Cucub, a lovely traveller and poet.
Now it´s incredible how cheerfully he welcomes us and the love he gives us! As he was thankful!. He seems so happy!

I think that at the end, that accident was a blessing. He found a home and a family.
I wonder how many things we go trough are, at last, a blessing. Some, we get to realize, and other we´ll never do, but maybe there are more we can imagine...

I can almost wish you to have a nice weekend!!

Día del pan... - Bread´s day...

                                                                +
                                                día lluvioso (que amo)
                                                                +
                                                volvía antes de trabajar
                                                                ...
Resultado previsible: Llegué y me puse a amasar...

Just by chance I heard that fact today
                                                                   +
                                               rainy day (I love them)
                                                                   +
I got home earlier from work0
...
The end of this story was predictable: I arrived and sarted to knead...

Tres integrales multicereales y otro  blanquito

Three whole wheat and another white one.

One is for my great negihbour Edith.

I don´t get on very well with  yeast powder, but this time it was useful.

Filling home with the smell of baking bread, sinking my hands in the flour, the warm water...  creating those breads... it seems a kind  of sacred celebration... it´s one of the first "home smells" of mankind... it is natural to feel it so magic...

Semillas de las tierras antiguas - Seeds from the ancient lands

Under the blessing of waning crescent moon I  sowed these sedds my aunt bring me from Europe:
vegetables for my garden from Italy and Spain.

Also my super sister in law Aurelie (with whom I share the love for cooking, gardening and vintage) shared with me a seed´s pot-purri she collected in gardens in France when she visited  her family last month. One´s from Monet´s garden are included!!
It´s a mistery what is going to come out... I don´t pretend the "Nenúfares" to show up, but I find it funny to wait to be surpirsed...

Almost without being aware, we found ourselves recreating an ancient ritual of the first women, the inspirational of the prehistoric Venus. Those who didn´t resing themselves to just wait depending on their men to bring   the sustenance.
The watcher , the curious, the maker  ones. Those whe made one with the mistery of the secret blossom of Mother Earth´s womb. Those who generously  transmitted the fertility´s enigma trough seeds and bulbous.

Have you noticed how sowing, producing our own food and cooking them with traditional ways is being more and more revalued ?.
Mud  and steel pots, cooking with fire are main starts in gourmet TV programes and pinterst pictures.
We choose organic food disdaining tha fast solution of microwave ovens and industrialized food (even women like me who works many ours outside home).
We feel "avant-garde" for being guided by the cosmic calendar for sowing and cooking with Quinoa and Amaranto. Very well known crops by american originary people, that were almost lost after the Conquest.
"DIY"  is fashionable: sewing, knitting, felting (the most ancient textil practice of all!) and we think  sustentable practices like building with adobe,  and even meditation seem to be  "top".
And the list could go on....
I believe that that this is not a snob  trend, we are just starting to remember...

Brunch dominguero - Sunday brunch

Even it can appear a bit  pretentious in this latitud, the idea of having a brunch on sunday it´s great for me!. ( and defintly much healthier to get that energy for our body at the begining of the day!).
So  we went to "Malvón" with my bother and sister in law: Leo, Aurelie, and their baby.
There you can find very yummy food. It´s a recycled antique house, with eclectic furniture and patio full of  creepers and fragrant herbs.

Aurelie con Salvador. Es una ternura escucharla hablándole en francés! Lo llama "Mon chéri"

Aurelie and Salvador. It´s so sweet  how she talks to him in french!. she calls him"Mon chéri"

A whole range of brunches are offered there. It´s quite expensive, but if you haven´t get up much hungry and you add some snack, they can be shared.

Y te podés llevar un "souvenir"

And you can take home a "souvenir".

  Buena semana de luna llena!!

Have a nice full moon week!!

Extra late  but here I am! (after all, Spring equinox is tommorrow, so, from that point of view I am in advance!  :-)  ).
 Natalia, from
Almitas Encantadas , invited us to her recycling party.
I had just "retired" my garden box, and I´ve been working on a new one since last weeekend. My dad made this wwoden box with different woods (a sort of Frankenstein from different regions) and added this nice and practical ropes. Now I write this I remember that he made a wooden box similar to this for me whenI was a child that had "Silvina´s crafts" written on it. There I put my papers, colors and all that kind of stuff (as you see, I´m still like that and even worst!)

Antes...

Before...

Ydespués!

And after!

I wish you have a spring full of colors!!  (mainly an inside spring, becouse soul´s seasons are what really count!)

Ciruelo de mi puerta, si no volviese yo,
la primavera siempre volverá.
Tú, florece.
