Finde extralargo: receta x 2! - Extra long weekend: recipe x 2!

It´s been some tme I prepare this recipe most "29th". I took it from the TV programme "Cocineros argentinos" (sometimes I can watch a little bit of the programme when I arrive home from school and I´m leaving to another... don´t you gonna think I ever get late for writting down a recipe or that I memorize it on  the way and write it down when as soon as I get to school...)
Since I wasn´t able to cook it on 29th. becouse we went to visit Father Ignacio (a healer priest), this time I prepared it on 30th. ¿So what?.
A comment by Lucia from eralamaga made me realize that I had never posted the recipe, even I had posted photos of it... so answerin people´s voice... here goes the recipe!!!

Ñoquis de sémola a la romana

Ingredientes
Leche, 1 litro
Sémola, 250 g.
Manteca, 50 g.
pizquita de nuéz moscada.
 1 Huevo
2 dientes de ajo rallado.
 Queso de rallar
Sal y pimienta a gusto

Roman semolina gnocchi

Ingredients:
250 g semolina
1 liter milk
 grated Parmigiano
50 g butter
1 egg
2 garlic clove
Salt and pepper.
a bit of nutmeg

Preparation:
Bring the milk to a boil, add the butter, salt, pepper, and 1 grated garlic clove over moderate heat. Gradually stir in the semolina. The mixture will become quite thick; continue cooking until it boils and remove the pot from the fire. Add the egg and go on stirring. Mix well and spread the mixture  on a baking pan (there is no need to oiled it).
Let the semolina cool for a while, and cut it into circles or squares .
Butter a pan and layer the squares in it, spreading a little grated cheese on the gnocchi.
Bake the gnocchi 20 minutes in a really hot  oven, until they are golden.
I like to serve them with sauteed vegetables: onion ( the red one looks cooler!), red sweet pepper, broccoli (steam it first), spinach (add it at the end, less cooked... more nutrient!!!. Ahh... add the other grated garlic clove, if you like it!!!
Let me know if you cook it!!

(when I use the oven I use to make homemade granola, too, there in the photo...)

1 Huevo
2 Yemas
 Esencia vainilla
Cognac  (o alguna bebida espirituosa, diría mi abuela)
Relleno
Ricota, 500 g.

(Most of the times, I have to cook in the evening... so enjoying the autumn sun while I cook... is delicious!)

Queda super cremosa!. Hoy tenía nueces... y adentro!
Y tu casa se va a llenar de ese aroma...

Felíz día del trabajador!!!

After a long time without time, these two last days, I was able to enjoy cooking again.. today after having a nap, I made my Aunt Vivi´s Ricotta cake... I hare the recipe with you...

1 1/2 cup flour.
1 cup starch
1 cup oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 eggs yolk
Cognac (or any other "spiritual drinking" as my grandma says)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling
ricotta 500g
1 cup sugar

Preparation
Mix eggs, yolks and sugar. Add the oil, cognac and vanilla extract. Add the flour, strach and baking powder
Keep refrigerated for half an hour.

Bake for half an hour in moderate oven... and our home will smell dellicious!!
Happy worker´s day!

- what a month and a half without internet left!!!!

MI PRIMERA CANAAAAA!!!! AAAHHH!.
(bendita speedy! y todavía no canto victoria...).
Buen finde!!!!

MY FIRST WHITE HAIR!!!!!! AAAAHHH!!!!.  Clearly, a month and half  without "having a stroll" around my inspiring blogs y finding really hard to post (+ school period beginning) + my sewing machine broke down when I was about to finish my bathrobe to go to the "Termas" , made a disaster!!!
Or it may be that in two months I´ll be 31????. I´d prefer the first option!!   :-)
(If this internet thing and the machine can be fixed,  may there be a going back?
Have a nice week!!!

Otoño... - Autumn...

Comenzó una de las estaciones mas coloridas... .

                                                                             Carlos Thays
(naturalista y arquitecto franco-argentino)

Autumn Overture

Now  that  autumn is begining, ¿what should I invent?... Silence, leaves are already falling; it is the season. Maybe ones should get carried away  by the tone, the color, the quality of all this that it is called angel of the place, that I don´t know yet how it is.

This is how I find out in the tree´s growing, where age and time are little important  - that I´lL call  sidereal and has to do with space and light-.

And this time of the year, autumn, when skies of light and quietness delay their short life between the branches and leaves of those huge trees.

Walking I make sure that, in autumn,   usually,  if the afternoon turns quiet an the sky clean, the places seem to enlarge and trees, grow. And it is possible to distinguish the little leaves floating in the air, and reaching the ground in a fainting mood that it is  not  familiar.

The original title of this post  was "The wild woman",  but when I thought it better, It wouldn´t be nice to put together that title with the photo of my own mother!. So...  .
I´ve chosen to put my mother´s photo when she was a little baby girl on this day: "The international woman´s day" because I want to salute to every woman, and I´ve chosen her person to do it.  I admire  my mum´s tenderness, strength, joy, love for life, sweetness, inteligence,  spirituality... . She is a wonderful woman and mother and we have an incredible and deep connection... .

Gracias Griselda!

I also want to share with you some lines from Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of The Wild Woman Archetype byClarissa Pinkola Estés. She is a Jungian analyst and cantadora, a collector and teller of stories. She has birthed a book after more than twenty years of work, about the archetype of the Wild Woman
I found this book because of Griselda´s advice. my dad´s cousin. She is both a strong and sweet woman, whu fights for women rights, artist, mother, worker, volunteer in a dining for needy  children...
Thanks Griselda!

Clarissa uses the word "wild" to refer to "the woman"  "[...] in its original meaning, that means to live a natural existence [...]. The word 'woman' and 'wild' makes women  remember who they are and what they
propose to do. She personifies the strength tthat supprots every women.

[The wild woman] [...]Where is she? Where do tou feel her?Where can you find her? She walks in the deserts, cities, woods, oceans, and in the mountain of solitude. She lives in women everywhere; in castles with queens, in the boardrooms, in the penthouse, and on the night bus to Brownsville.
She lives in a faraway place that breaks through to our world. She lives in the past and is summoned by us. She is in the present. She is in the future and walks backward in time to find us now.
Wild woman whispers the words and the ways to us, and we follow. She has been running and stopping and waiting to see if we are catching up. She has many things to show us.
She lives in the green poking through the snow, she lives in the rustling stalks of dying autumn corn, she lives where the dead come to be kissed and the living send their prayers. She lives in the place where language is made. She lives on poetry and percussion and singing. She lives on quarter notes and grace notes, and in the cantata, in a sestina, and in the blues. She is the moment just before inspiration bursts upon us. She lives in a faraway place that breaks through to our world.”

"When we work the soul, she, the Wild Woman, creates more of herself"

"To find her, women must to go back  to her instinctive lives, to her deepest knowledge"

"Within every woman, even the most repressed, there lives a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing. She is the Wild Woman, who represents the instinctual nature of women."

"Joining the instinctive nature [...] means to set a territory [...] to recover our own cicles, to descover to where we belong..."

"It is the voice who says: ´This way, this way' "

"Art is important, becouse it evokes soul´s seasons [..].  Art not only is for oneself¨[...]. It is also a map for future generations"
